About This Quiz

Founded in 1961, the traditional Minnesota Vikings is an American football team from the NORTH division at the NFL. Despite the Vikings appearing in four Super Bowl games (1970, 1974, 1975, and 1977), they lost each one of them, but because of their amazing history and fans, we have prepared a special quiz for the team.
Even though they won only one NFL championship in 1969, the year before the NFL merged with the AFL, the Vikings have a great past and history. After signing coach Bud Grant in 1967, the Vikings’ most prosperous period began. Grant led the Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances in his career, he is also a future Hall of Fame member. As a result, the Vikings in the 1970s had an efficient air raid led by quarterback Fran Tarkenton and a strong defensive line known as “Purple People Eaters”. It was Tarkenton who was the first quarterback who made moves with his legs and kept the attack on the field.
The Vikings floundered during the 1980s, a decade which was marked by a disastrous trade with the Dallas Cowboys in 1989. It resulted in the Vikings receiving Herschel Walker in return for draft picks from Dallas that turned into NFL stars in the future. Emmitt Smith and Darren Woodson, among others. An explosive attack starred Robert Smith and wide receivers Cris Carter and Randy Moss for the Minnesota team in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Although the 1998 Vikings won 15 games during the regular season, they lost to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC championship game, achieving a record total of 556 points.
In 2007, Adrian Peterson set the record for most total yards in a single game, giving hope to Vikings fans. They made the playoffs again after signing quarterback Brett Favre in the off-season and qualified for next season’s playoffs as well. Favre led the Vikings to the NFC final game, where they lost against the Saints. In the following year, the performance of quarterback Brett Favre decreased, and the Vikings finished that season with a losing record. In 2011, the Vikings played with three different quarterbacks, which contributed to a 13–loss record. With Adrian Peterson leading the way with 2,097 yards, the team recovered to win 10 games and win a playoff wildcard spot, but suffered a loss to the Green Bay Packers in 2012. In 2015, the team won 11 games and won the division title but lost on the wildcard after kicker Blair Walsh missed a 27-yard field goal in the last minute. Do you think you know everything about the Vikings? Do you consider yourself an expert fan? Then your time to take this Vikings quiz has come. Good luck!
