About This Quiz

Have you ever felt like you’re living through a Miami Dolphins game? You know, you look around and it feels like you’re backed up against your goal line, surrounded by defensive players. Your offensive line is struggling to hold off blitzes, and the quarterback is under constant pressure to throw the ball before he gets sacked. In addition, you’re getting a lot of penalties, and flags were thrown at you for doing things you thought were perfectly legal. Maybe you are a special fan who can’t stop thinking about your loved team. For people like you, we have prepared a special quiz!

The Miami Dolphins are one of the most successful teams in the NFL, they are also the oldest team in the NFL, and they have won 5 Super Bowls. Sure they are one of the teams most people love to hate, so, even the haters can take this trivia. They have a long and storied rivalry with the New England Patriots, which we also have a quiz about! This rivalry has been going on since the 1970s. This ended up making the Super Bowls more interesting than the championship games themselves.

The first Super Bowl appearance took place in 1971, at Super Bowl VI, but the team lost to the Dallas Cowboys. In 1972, the Dolphins became the first and only franchise in the league’s history to complete an undefeated season, winning all 14 games, including the decision against Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII. The team would also win the Super Bowl VIII, beating the Minnesota Vikings. Miami also participated in Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XIX, losing both games, unfortunately!

Early in its history, the Dolphins had the most successful and amazing coach of all time in terms of won matches, Don Shula. In 26 seasons, only twice has the team finished with a negative record under his command. In the 1980s, quarterback Dan Marino became one of the most prolific players on the pass and one of the greatest players of all time. Being to this day the greatest idol in the history of the franchise, he retired in 1999 after taking the team to 5 titles division, 10 playoff appearances, and the Super Bowl XIX.

The Dolphins originally played all home games at the Orange Bowl in Miami. After the 1986 season, Joe Robbie stadium became their main.

The Dolphins’ logo and uniforms have remained fairly consistent since the team’s founding until 2012. The team’s colors always have been coral and aqua. The original logo consisted of a sun with a bouncing dolphin wearing a football helmet with the letter “M”. This is an extremely hard quiz, do you think you are ready for it?
